ROMANY preacher the Rev Terry Hurst said everybody should join together to fight prejudice as part of his message on Racial Justice Day.
Mr Hurst, who runs a church in Downley, High Wycombe, was speaking at Elim Pentecostal Church, Edmonds Road, Lane End, on Sunday about how gypsies and travellers have to deal with racism every day of their lives and how they are perceived by the public, churches and the media.
About 60 people were at the talk which was part of the Sunday service at the church.
Mr Hurst said: 'Travellers are asked to move on every day. Imagine what that feels like. It's not nice. The authorities don't think anything of us and as far as they're concerned it doesn't matter what happens to us.
'We have all got prejudices one way or the other but we need to come together to fight racism.'
