Plans have been unveiled to convert an agricultural building at Upper Warren Farm, located on Hampden Road, Prestwood, into a four-bedroom dwelling complete with a garage, parking and landscaping.

This is just one of the many planning applications submitted to Buckinghamshire Council this week.

Plan for conversion of existing buildings to form a four bed dwelling (24/05759/FUL)

The concerned property is a single-storey steel portal framed structure, built in the late 1970s, and is currently used for storage.

Residing within both the green belt and the Chilterns AONB, Upper Warren Farm's proposed transformation is anticipated to have no significant impact on the local highway network, making it a smooth transition for the local community.

"The single-family residential use would have less of an impact than the previous and alternative uses of the site," the application noted.

Plan for demolition of existing outbuildings and erection of detached dwelling and carport served by existing access (24/05749/FUL)

In another development, a plan to demolish an existing stable building and erect a barn-style dwelling along with a carport is being proposed at Bonnett Close, Little Kimble.

The carport, complete with secure bicycle storage, is designed to be open to the front while sporting a lower than house roof height.

"The design and orientation of the proposed dwelling acknowledges the adjacent development and makes use of its access rather than creating a new access off Marsh Road," the proposed plans highlight.

Meanwhile, under application 24/05897/CONBT, discussions are ongoing to remove a public payphone on the corner of Edgecote House, Amersham Hill, High Wycombe.

The consultation period for this venture is scheduled to run for 90 days, with proceedings set to wrap up on July 15, 2024.

Demolition of the existing building and the erection of two detached dwellings with parking and amenity space (PL/24/0996/FA)

Buckinghamshire Council has received an application for the demolition of the St John Ambulance training facility at Meadow Lane, Beaconsfield, and construction of two detached houses.

The proposed changes adhere to the strategic/spatial housing policies specified by South Bucks County Strategy (SBCS).

The current building was exclusively used for training sessions. The new plans include parking spaces and amenity areas.

The applicants feel that such additional residential development aligns with the area's existing infrastructure and is therefore considered to be acceptable.

Yet, the exact terms and details are still under review.
